Ever wonder why people nowadays can't even find time to be nice to one another anymore? Is a smile that expensive as gas? Its like when we're faced with other things other than those we prioritize - we turn into monsters and growl at the first person who comes near us.
I'm currently involved in two groups - one from the past and one in my current and possibly future as well. I look at both groups and I have to admit - I am disappointed with one, disillusioned with the other.
The one I am disappointed with fails to realize that our past and those who affected our past makes us who we are today. I told a friend of mine just recently - we owe a debt of life from our parents. But we owe a debt of knowledge and wisdom from our teachers. Unless of course we don't have any intelligence or wisdom to speak of. Or we have a pea-sized brain.
The one I am disillusioned with is something I will have to deal with on a daily basis. Things need to get done, arguments need to be settled but people are so frustrated about certain issues, they simply won't back off and let things get done. And arguments fall on top of each other until finally some thing's going to give. All because of a simple act of acknowledgment that went undone. Isn't that what we all crave for at some point in time? To know that we are acknowledged and heard? That someone actually took the time to listen? To help? To lend a helping hand?
In both cases, who we are as a person comes into play. what we are as human beings comes into light. In both groups, I discovered that some people avoid the sensitive side of life like illness and people in need. Nothing is discussed or the topic is totally avoided. I discovered that when confrontations arise, all diplomacy is out the window and arguments are dragged out into the open. You have those left standing continuing the argument where no one wins and you have those who make a formal goodbye telling everyone to grow up and leaves the forum. From a bird's point of view - are the arguments even worth the aggravation? Am I going to finally conclude that majority of human beings on this planet are not humane? That human beings are such petty creatures? Aren't we on this planet for more important issues? Aren't we supposed to take care of each other and not go for each other's throats?
Chaos is the weapon of choice of the devil. Out of chaos comes such conflicts that in context - is as petty as a baby's behind. Life was supposed to be simple. If there's someone in need - help. You don't need to bleed to help, just help with whatever you feel comfortable to give. If there's a problem - sit down and discuss it like humane human beings. Insults and underhand jibes are uncalled for and keep the issues in plain sight. Everything on this planet can be settled with decent conversation and patience for each other instead of never ending heated debates on who caused what to whom and what was not done etc etc etc... it will never end until someone stands up and tells them to shut up. On the other hand, some people just don't know when to stop. They insist that people are entitled to their opinion and anyone else's opinion does not count. Some people think that just because they've reached the apex of their career, they can do as they damn well please. So when will conflicts and misunderstandings end? It won't. Majority witnesses to such conflicts just reach for the remote and turn to another channel.
All because no acknowledgment and spare time was given. We ignore what's right. We do what we are comfortable with. We prefer the comfort zones we have enclosed ourselves in. We would rather not get involved in anything that adds to our daily grind in life. We think we can live alone until shit hits the fan and hits us when we least expect it. And then we look outside for someone to blame.
Funny how life can show people in their true light and color and its sad to see that majority of the human beings on earth are not remotely humane even to their own kind.
